Star Trek: The Animated Series On DVD 11/21!

The Digital Bits and StarTrek.com both report today that the long awaited early-1970's Star Trek Animated Series will finally be dropping on DVD November 21st! The set will retail for 35 bucks and include bonus materials such as two featurettes and text commentaries on episodes Yesteryear, The Eye of the Beholder and The Counter-Clock Incident. The show ran for a single season only and featured the voices of the entire original cast and writing by many of the staff regulars. Should be great!

The Explanation For Everything

Not sure where this came from (not sure I wanna know), but it looks like someone was working overtime to figure it all out. Somehow this chart intertwines Bruce Campbell, Palpatine and lots of Google references. Hmmm...

Forgotten Tomorrows

Sure, they're updating Pirates of the Caribbean with Johnny Depp, but I had a lot of fun reliving yesterday's vision of tomorrow at Yesterland, an awesome website cataloguing the attractions that are no longer at Disneyland. What a fun ride!

And if you're in or near Oakland, be sure to check out the Disneyland exhibit at The Oakland Museum of California, running now through August 20th!

"Go behind the scenes to see how Walt Disney and his Imagineers envisioned, created, and brought Disneyland to life. This touring exhibition includes hundreds of images and artifacts, including original artwork, construction drawings, architectural models, archival videos, promotional materials, and historic souvenirs—as well as original vehicles from Peter Pan’s Flight® and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride®. Meet Disney’s first human Audio-Animatronics® figure, Abraham Lincoln!"

Sweet!
(Thanks for the Yesterland link, Nich!)
